Happy Birthday Press Conference

Posted by Lokman

Its a good thing stuff at work were done by thursday. My mag was successfully delivered on schedule which made a clearing for Jingle Ma's latest feature, Happy Birthday staring Louis Koo and Rene Liu, press conference where all three graced the event.

Thanks to Shaw, we managed to clinch interviews with all three, which you can view at moviexclusive.com soon. Jingle, as happy as always. Rene, as beautiful and petite as protrayed and Louis as cool and suave as hoped.

Oh and continuing with my goal of to be photographed with the stars instead, here's me with Louis and Rene ~yay~

Screwed up

Blogger is currently screwing my blogspot admin.

I currently can't:
1) Edit previous post.
2) Upload pics

On top of that, the admin page has the layout all distorted.

ARGH...

UPDATE:

As of 13th January, my blog FINALLY went its originated course. Apparently, they were finalising the migration of my blogger to the new non-beta system.

Yay~

Dance with me

Skipped a few days of blogging because i had to rush off Mx's latest video cast. Interested in watching them? Click the picture above to view the glory.

That's one job off my back. I've still got a book review and 2 upcoming movie reviews to pen. Half Nelson and The Illusionist, having the latter snatched from Richard, i hope it's worth it.

Speaking of books, i had just finished a graphic novel, Pride of Bagdad, which i bought for Richard for his birthday. He was rather gushing at me on how great it was, so i had to see it for myself. True enough, it's one of the most emotional illustration i have ever read. The ending just had me almost to tears. If you haven't read it, do yourself a favour and borrow it or buy it even.

Lazy sunday

Posted by Lokman

Its a really lazy sunday today, i've managed to import all the vid from the Francis Ng interview and gala event. I've somehow planned the storyboard. But i've yet to get a background music for it.

Any ideas?

Anyway, i've also finish reading the graphic novel 300 by Frank Millerto review. Awesome action battle sequence but as a whole, i felt alittle cheated. It threw me in a middle of the story and ended where it shouldn't have, making me wanting for more. But its not gonna stop me from not catching it on the big screen. Beautifuully landscaped. If its any indication of a complete copy, then it'll really turn up beautifully.

I've yet to read the gift i got for Richard, Pride of Bagdad, but from the snippets i saw/read, loks pretty good~ Can't wait to read it.

So i guess, i'll finish up the vidcast by tomorrow night. Uploading is a pain so it'll probably be up on the site by tues.

~Yeah thats my aim.

One Last Dance Gala

Posted by Lokman

When there is a gala to be held, i will surely be there. Most of the time anyway. Being the photographer for MX has its perks . Being up close to stars but me being much of a timid little one will only do whats nessasary. Take photos. I dare not go beyond going up to them to shake thier hands or ask them for an autograph even when they are up to my face. What a waste of opportunity.

Anyway, as part of my resolution this year, i'll try to brave-up and let some fan-boy alter-ego seep through alittle . Wish me luck as tomo, i'll be meeting up with Francis Ng and Ti Lung from The Last Dance.

Anyway, my usual partner -in-crime decided to bail out on this gig and thankfully Stefan agreed to take over as the writer + videographer.

By 820, after all the tv starts strutted by, the big chief and his posse came. Then everything was a robotic sequence. Push, shove *click *snap * flash, shove-shove. I'm telling you, these photographer-newbies are horrible.

A stage was set up for a small talk and to wrap it up, a big photo op with the stars.

I swear, Francis was having a Zoolander moment. I thought it might be just a flash moment but all the photos had him with the same *look.

My resolutions for 2007

Posted by Lokman

I know i'm not gonna keep them anyway, but i should at least try rite?

1) Learn to DJ. ( NOT those crappy ones on the radio but those in clubs.)

2) Start running. In summary keep fit lah... My garvitational pull has somehow gotten stronger towards earth, its kinda scary...

3) Visit Australia. Damnit everyone has been there except me!

4) Have at least 2K in the bank by 2008 new year's eve.

There you go. Kinda big hopes aye? Will try lah. No guarantee.
